Avery is 2 months old!

Avery officially turned 2 months old yesterday! Unfortunately, we had to celebrate it with a trip to the clinic for her 2 month check-up and immunizations. Poor baby... she had to get to 2 shots and an oral immunization. She did really great until later in the day when her legs were sore. Tylenol and lots of snuggle time seemed to help! We did find out that Avery has been growing like crazy! She weighed 10lbs 14oz, was 22 inches long, and had a head circumference of 39cm... all in the 50th percentile! Not too shabby considering she was one month early! We were very proud of our growing girl.

Ted celebrated his 31st birthday on Saturday, and it turned out to be a really busy weekend for us. Avery went on her longest road trip so far, and did great. On Saturday, we traveled down to Gruene with a few little stops along the way (Cabela's, Outlet Mall). We met Ted's parents, his Grandma from Kansas, and Tisha & Dan for a late lunch at the Gristmill. We enjoyed visiting with everyone there, then Ted's parents and his Grandma traveled back to Temple with us for the night. The following day we took lots of family pictures, went out to lunch, then they all headed back to Houston. It was a nice weekend and Avery did great.

Well, I have 4 weeks to go before I return to work. We have a few things that we need to accomplish before then. Most imortantly, I have to get Avery used to taking a bottle. Otherwise, she will starve when I'm at work. It has been a little bit of a challenge lately, so we are really going to work on it these next few weeks. I'm going to try a few different bottles to see if that might help, and also be more consistent with it. What can I say? Avery likes her Mama! Not a bad thing... but I can't be available 24/7! Also, we would like to have her sleeping through the night by then. She is close, but is still waking up for the 3am feeding. We are also going to move her into her room at night in the next couple of weeks. So... I will let you know how all of this is going! Enjoy all the pictures!
