12 weeks!

Today I am 12 weeks pregnant!  Woohoo!  It is always such a relief to make it to 12 weeks.  I am feeling soooo much better now.  Towards the end of last week, I actually started to feel somewhat "normal" again, and was able to enjoy all the wonderful Thanksgiving meals and even started to drink my morning coffee again.  This is very exciting, considering this is my favorite time of the year to enjoy coffee... holiday creamers and Starbucks Gingerbread and Pumpkin Spice Lattes are my favorites!  I have really been missing my coffee the past 6 weeks.
Pregnancy Update:
How big is baby? Baby #2 is about the size of a lime.
How is mommy feeling? Much better now, but still really tired.
What is mommy wearing? Still wearing my regular clothes, but thinking maternity clothes soon!
What is mommy craving?  After living off of soup, crackers, and ice for several weeks, I started craving Mexican (mostly tacos!) and gummy bears, and now I am hungry for anything and everything!
Weight gain?  Maybe a pound or so, just now starting to get a little baby bump.
Best part of this first trimester?  Just finding out we were expecting!  And of course, reaching 12 weeks, and starting to feel better.

Thankful

So much to be thankful for this year....
From good health to happiness, an amazingly supportive and helpful family, great friends who bring fun and excitement to our every day lives, successful careers, a wonderful church...
I am most thankful for my incredible husband and our sweet Avery.  Ted is my rock.  There is noone else that I would rather spend this life with.  And Avery brings us more joy than we could have ever imagined.  We are having so much fun with her as she grows into a toddler.  She will be such a great Big Sister in June when we welcome another blessing that we are incredibly thankful for this year.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving this week!

1st OB Appointment

Last week, we had our first OB appointment for baby #2.  Avery went with us (FUN times!  ha,ha), so she got to see her little brother or sister on the ultrasound for the first time.  The baby looked healthy, measuring at 9 weeks, with a good strong heartbeat... so we are optimistic that everything is going as planned!  Our next appointment is in a few weeks.  The mid-pregnancy ultrasound is scheduled for January 18th, so that is when we will find out if Avery will have a little sister or brother to play with.  We will be thrilled either way!  I am definitely feeling pregnant at this point.  At 6 weeks, the nausea and fatigue really started to set in, and hasn't let up since.  Yesterday was the 10 week mark, so hopefully there is some relief coming soon!  It is definitely harder this time around since we have a 1 year old running around.  Ted is a HUGE help though... not sure how I would make it through this without him!

And here is our little baby!

Telling our friends....

Last weekend, our friends had their huge Halloween Costume Party at their house.  They go all out, and it was nothing but spectacular as usual.  We decided to wait until the party to tell our friends our big news.  Needless to say, they were all a little suprised when they saw our costumes.  Some weren't sure if we were joking or actually serious.  Although I didn't get to have as much fun as everyone else, it was still a great party.  Here are a few pictures...

Avery's Big Announcement

Pictures of Avery are getting harder and harder to take....
You want me to wear this on my head?!?!
BUT... She does have a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT to make... She's going to be a BIG SISTER!
That's right.... We've been blessed again, and will meet Avery's little brother or sister in June 2011!
