7 Weeks

Our sweet little girl is 7 weeks old today and doing great. Ted and I are really enjoying taking her out and about. We are starting to feel like a real family now. We definitely have to plan ahead and think about things like where we will be when it's feeding time and so forth, but we are figuring it out, and it's been fun. Avery continues to grow like crazy. I'm anxious to see how much she weighs now, but it will be another week or so before we go back to the doctor. She is now wearing 0-3 month clothes. Hopefully she'll get to wear these clothes for longer than just a few weeks! We're kind of hoping that maybe we'll have another girl in the future, so we can get some more wear out of all these cute little clothes! Hmm... we'll see! Here are some pictures from this past week... enjoy!

Avery is 6 weeks old!

Avery is 6 weeks old today and growing like crazy! It's hard for us to believe that we already have a 6 week old girl. She has really brought joy to our lives, and we just adore her! Life as we knew it has really changed... but that's okay. We are adjusting well, and enjoying every minute of it. Avery continues to eat very well, and her chubby cheeks and little belly show it! She is probably close to 9lbs and about to outgrow her newborn clothes. She is starting to make more eye contact and she smiles spontaneously. She is also starting to hold her head up for brief periods. She is sleeping more at night, and even went 6 1/2 hours one night! But her usual eating schedule is about every 3 hours during the day, and every 4 hours at night... which we are still happy about. She really enjoys stroller rides and car rides, and will tolerate her swing for about 5 minutes. She still loves her bouncer chair. As she gets bigger and older, we have ventured out of the house more. She has went on a few little errands, went out to the farm twice, and even went to our friend's houses for a few hours. She has met some of her little friends, but they are all at least a year older than she is... so it will be a little while before she can join in on the fun... and we can't wait!!! I have attempted to take some pictures over the past week, but Avery does not always like to cooperate. So, here's what we ended up with. Enjoy!

Cute Pictures

Aunt Kathy, Uncle Justin, and cousins Courtney and Garrett sent Avery this cute little onesie this week for her "1 month birthday." I thought it was so cute that I had to get some pictures of her in it today. She didn't cooperate for long, so this is what we ended up with... enjoy!

1 month old already!

It's hard to believe, but our little Avery wasn't supposed to arrive until this week. Today she is already one month old, and we are loving her to pieces! She has changed a lot in the last month... she is no longer a 5lb sleepy baby with temperature and jaundice concerns, but is now an 8lb baby with a little belly, a cute personality, and definitely a set of lungs! Her one month check-up was this week, and she weighed in at exactly 8lbs and was 20 inches long. She is definitely growing, and is wearing newborn clothes now.... but probably not for long! We are working on getting on a good eat/play/sleep schedule, and so far she is doing pretty well. She eats about every 3 hours during the day, and every 4 hours at night (praise the Lord!). Her cord finally came off, so she got to experience her 1st "real" bath tonight and she loved it! She has been out and about a little more, and loves car and stroller rides. We are all doing great and loving life with our sweet little girl. Enjoy the new pictures!
