SNOW DAY!!!

Living in Central Texas, we come to expect sudden changes in the weather.  On Sunday, Ted and Avery were playing on a blanket in the front yard wearing shorts and a T-shirt.  The weather was beautiful and around 75 degrees.  A mere 2 days later, it is below freezing, and snow is falling for 12 hours, giving us about 4 inches of snow.  It hasn't snowed this much since 1982!  What a neat experience for Avery... and the dogs too!  They loved it!

6 month Pictures

My sister-in-law, Kathy, took Avery's 6 month pictures last week, and they turned out GREAT!  Avery was a little distracted by her tutu, and preferred to play with it and eat it, but we did manage to get some cute ones.  Here are a few of my favorite ones (and don't worry, Grandparents... I've ordered everyone some pictures!).... Thanks again, Kathy, for your time and talent!  We will cherish these pictures!

Bath Time

We had a good 6 month check-up today at the Dr.'s office.  She weighed 6lbs 11oz and was 25.5 inches long (50th percentile).  So, she's doing great!

Our Little Valentine

We took advantage of the whole 5 minutes of beautiful sunshine after church today to take some pictures of our sweet little Valentine.  We feel so blessed to have such an amazing little girl in our lives.  We love you so much Avery!  Happy 1st Valentine's Day!

6 Months old and Such a Joy!

Avery turned 6 months old today!  Seriously... where did the time go?  Do we really have a 6 month old aready?  What a joy our little Avery is.  She is such a happy little girl, and so much fun to to take care of.  She is growing like crazy and learning to do new things everyday.  I'll wait and post her 6 month stats next week after we go to her check-up, but here is what she is up to... 
Starting to wear 6-9 month clothes.
Eating cereal, fruits, & veggies, along with breastmilk. 
Still teething, but no tooth yet.
Sitting up on her own, recognizing her name, recognizing familiar people and surroundings, laughing and giggling.
She LOVES playing with all her toys, playing with her favorite dog Cooper, bath time, her jumperoo, toys that spin, and taking naps on Daddy.

Family Time

We had a nice visit from Aunt Tisha (and briefly, Uncle Dan) from Montana, as well as Nana and Grandpa Smith from Houston this weekend.  It had been nearly 3 months since we saw Tisha, so it was great spending some time with her.  We had a fun and relaxing weekend with everyone.  Avery had a blast, and really enjoyed all the attention.  Here are some pictures from the weekend.  Enjoy!
